Rascal Ball 2002 -- Lair No. 3

Twenty-five Rascals and friends attended the First Annual Rascals' Ball of Lair No. 3 which was held at the Doylestown Moose Home on April 27, 2002.

The evening began with Michael Moscherosch playing his digeridoo, accompanied by Peter Zaremba on guitar, and Dan Morrison singing the Banana Boat Song.

Dan Morrison offered a few words of welcome and spoke a few minutes on the nature of the RR&R for the benefit of those who were encountering the group for the first time.

Following dinner, Peter Zaremba, wearing a vintage 1970s tuxedo, complete with peach ruffled shirt, entertained the assembly with a slide show review of the activities of Lair No. 3.

Then it was timing for square dancing. The Rascals and friends made a hearty and highly aerobic attempt to do-si-do and swing your partner.

Rascal o' the Year balloting came down to a tie between Michael Moscherosch and Dan Morrison. The matter was settled in favor of Michael Moscherosch in an arm wrestling competition.

Among those present at the Ball were: Jim Barr, Joel Block, Karl Halter, Ray Hull and his wife, Dan Krewson and his fiancee Jill, Peter Marino and his girlfriend Diane Surdyke (yes, she is Alan's sister), Saul Mednick, Nelly Mednick, Dan Morrison and his wife Eva and daughter Rosie, Michael Moscherosch and his wife Lisa, Don Plump and Joan Plump, Matthias Ritzman and his wife Leslie, Alan Surdyke and his wife Carol, Tim Tracy, and Peter Zaremba and his girlfriend.
