Invitation to Meeting
Fourth Quarter 1997 Meeting -- Lair No. 1
This meeting was held at Frenchy's Restaurant on December 6, 1997. Don Kellander was challenged to discover the story of George Rahn, a man who was to have died from injuries sustained at Max's Allegheny Tavern, the traditional RR&R haunt. What Don discovered, however, was that the stories regarding Rahn didn't hold water. The moral of the story: be careful about the claims you make, because in the future some scrupulous historian will ferret out your lies. Following Don's presentation, Director Mark Miller presented Dan Morrison with several mementos on the occasion of his last RR&R meeting before he moved away from Pittsburgh. Among the items presented were a walking stick and a portable urinal.
