First Quarter 2003 Meeting -- Lair No. 3
Lair No. 3 met on Saturday, March 15, 2003, at the Doylestown Moose Club for its annual Mass Challenge. The challenge this year was to present a patentable device, the winner to receive not only the covered J. Z. Landgraf prize, but also to have his item actually patented, with costs borne by the Lair.
Michael Moscherosch presented an item which keeps a cigar lit. This was the winner and has been patented.
Calvin Morrison who was not of age at this meeting, and thus was not a member, presented a device that straps to your feet to give the impression of treadmarks going in the wrong direction, to elude police following the commission of a crime.
Allen Surdyke presented the Rascal, which is a wheelbarrow handle extender for tall guys. This was not terribly sexy, but certainly was the most practical item presented.
